About LLL Ranch

Triple L Ranch started in 1963 - over 21 years ago - when Wallace and Ann Lee purchased the first portion of the 900-acre farm, built their home and moved in with their 5 children, Cynthia, Carol, Bill, Steven and Abby. After running a small commercial herd the first Hereford cattle were purchased in 1964. Within two years the oldest child started showing calves in the 4-H Program and soon as age permitted all 5 children had at least one calf each summer on the Tennessee 4-H and Junior Show circuit. The cow herd was originally built of 4-H show heifers and their progeny. The first Polled Hereford Junior National was held in Nashville, TN and the Lee Family exhibited seven heifers.

Triple L Ranch, from beginning to the present, has been a total family project. Most fences, barns, corrals and structures have been built over the years by members of the family only, as well as all related farm work. Now the Triple L Ranch is involving the third generation.

As the children went away to college, the herd was reduced to the 25 best cows. When Steven graduated in 1983 with a BS Degree in Animal Science and expressed a desire to seriously raise cattle we started expanding the total cattle operation with the purchase of 30 heifers.
As the cattle operation grew, daughter Carol and her husband Daniel Fold moved on the farm with their two sons and Daniel became herdsman.
Triple L Ranch has always sought the propagation of the best genetics through AI and embryo transfer. We have traveled all over North America seeking the very best in Hereford genetics and now the cow herd is approaching 200 head. Triple L Ranch is truly a family operation with Bill, Steven, Carol, Abby and ten grandchildren living on the farm . We welcome your appraisal of our cattle at any time and we expect to be improving our Tradition of Excellence for generations to come.
